My name is Olivia Olsen, I’m from Niskayuna, NY and I play basketball for Providence College.
I grew up in a very close, family, but I’ve always known there was a missing piece, my grandmother. She passed away at the age of 35 when my mother was a child of kidney cancer. Growing up, I’ve always heard stories of the wonderful person she was. My middle name, Irene, was her name and I’m told we have so many of the same qualities and attributes. Kidney cancer has been identified as the 13th most common form of cancer and if it widely spreads, there is only a 12% 5 year survival rate.
I’m honor of my grandmother, Irene, I am donating a percentage of the proceeds from the sales of "The Jersey Mount from Sport Displays" to the Kidney Cancer Association so that I can do my part in finding a cure for this horrible disease.
